Auldbrass Plantation 2017

Various structure details from first weekend of Auldbrass Plantation tours November 4th and 5th 2017. Auldbrass Plantation was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1938. He worked on this project for twenty years until his death in 1959. The 2017 tours will consist of 2 special weekends where the private home is opened up for public tours. The biennial Auldbrass Plantation tours are a special event that is made possible by hundreds of docents and volunteer workers organized by The Beaufort County Open Land Trust. Wrightdocent.org founders Jim Klippel, Nelson Brackin, and Greg Gamel volunteer at Auldbrass to help educate and inspire the visitors. Make sure to say hi to a docent or volunteer when you visit. Special thanks to Joel Silver and the Beaufort County Open Land Trust for a beautiful weekend.
